For the athletes interested in the museum is the place to visit.

Here you'll find Norway's only historic collection of international and Norwegian practitioners shoes, equipment, posters, media reviews, books and many other memories of the period after 1896. Here you can wander through the same portal Carl Lewis and other major world stars were to participate in Arne Haukvik famous strawberries companies. His storehouse has også. Alt this has made us the most content-rich and results-oriented track and field museum in Europe.

These are international - and national track and field history.
The individual athlete presented with their records, both Olympic, European and world records. This together with the equipment they have used to achieve these results. The museum houses the rest now over 1,000 objects.

How it has been possible to realize such a museum?

Enthusiasts Bjorn Bergh had 40 years ago the idea to collect shoes from famous athletes and a dream of creating an athletics museum.
This is the preliminary result. The response to his tireless efforts to track down old athletes or their families, have inspired him tremendously and made him humble and grateful for all the positivity he has met.

Now groups are most welcome to a tour in athletics history.

Please contact us for appointment of an interesting, memorable and enjoyable tour.

Sincerely,

Athletics Museum
